My 2014 Volt only gets 46 miles max EV in the summer, but I commute to work 21
miles and have a charger there. I just filled up a couple of weeks ago and it
was 3 gallons, the last fill up was September 2022. If we take a long trip we
use the wife's 2017 Jeep Trailhawk or I just use gas in the Volt. I would buy
a full EV and it would serve 100% of my transportation needs, however the Volt
still drives as good as a Tesla model 3. My Volt has 123k miles and still
drives great, so I'll wait to go full EV when it dies!

about 10 miles away if we have a need to use it (about 4 times a
year).
Long distance traveling is like doing it in an ICE except we stop and
recharge while we use the restrooms and then grab a bite to eat. When
done, we are about fully recharged. Fuel costs are about half per
mile. We are never going back to an ICE.
