I have been driving a 2017 Bolt for more than six and a half years. I know many people complain about the comfort of the seats, but for me they have been more comfortable than the seats in any other car I have owned. The driver’s seat goes back far enough and up high enough for my hamstrings to actually touch the seat. This is the only car I have ever had where my knees were not above my hips. The seats are plenty wide enough for me. For reference, I’m 6’4” 210lbs with 10% body fat.
I sit up straight and setting the seat this high forces me to duck to see under the dark tinted band at top of the windshield, but my head doesn’t rub the roof. The rear view mirror creates a large blind spot. The steering wheel blocks the top of the instrument cluster, but I can see the speedometer. I never considered the comfort of the seats when buying a car. I just assumed they would all be uncomfortable. It is something I will always consider in future car purchases.
