The downside of super slow charging is overhead.  The EVSE relay and
the car's charging electronics
have a fixed overhead.  The difference depends on the car, but there's
definitely some overhead even on the models that do the best.  Others
you can burn 10% of the energy going into the car just by charging too
slow.

240V 24A or 30A seems to be the sweet spot for battery life, wiring,
and the like at the moment.....
