I have used this type on a couple of conversions - https://ebay.us/m/DgADOf
Although this one says it only works up to 120V, I have one on a 400V car
and another on a 192V car, using a suitable small DC-DC converter to power
the shunt module.
The connection between the shunt and display is wireless!  It works
acceptably well, the only complaint I have is the display is quite small.
OK for cheap and cheerful applications.
