It's tempting to see anti-EV bias in these reports, but one more pedestrian reason for this emphasis on EV fires may be that EV fires are almost always more spectacular.
They're also tougher to extinguish and sometimes relight themselves later. Thus EV fires are more click-baity. Need I say more? EVs are the least likely. They claim that it makes EV fires as easy to manage as ICEV fires. They're making the design available to other EV manufacturers with no licensing charge.
