None of mine have, but I don't think they are defective either....I've seen a lot of swelling LiPo cells when they go bad.

If a leaf module is swelling, I'd say that's a great indicator that it is definitely defective.

Will they spontaneously burst into flames when you release compression? Probably not, but doing the job outside on a concrete pad/driveway instead of inside a garage would be a good safety measure.

[And having a mental plan about if/how you can separate them from the good modules before the flames spread....]
