Hi,

Following up on the decision made at the Hack-A-Way to adopt GitHub as the
primary platform for hosting Evergreen's Git repositories and managing pull
requests, I'd like to make one update and one request.

First, as far as the update is concerned, I've sent an application to
GitHub for TEP to get recognized nonprofit status. If granted, that will
give us access to GitHub Teams for free. I'll advise as the application
proceeds.

Second, I would like to call for a working group to sort through
implementation issues with the following goals:

   - Work through the implications of adopting GitHub for pull requests and
verify that we can come up with workflows that serve the needs of
contributors (both long-term and new), patch reviewers, and committers.
   - Produce guidelines and documentation of those workflows
   - Identify and make any configuration changes needed to the existing
   repositories and organization on GitHub
   - Plan and implement the formal transition

If you are interested, please let me know or respond on this thread.

Regards,

Galen
