I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Sarah Moody, who has officially stepped
into the role of Program Director for the Evergreen Collaborative Development
Initiative (ECDI)! We are excited to work with her to continue driving the
Evergreen project forward.
I also want to offer our deepest thanks and best wishes to Ruth, who is
transitioning out of her role with ECDI. Ruth, thank you for your many years of
dedicated work and your significant contributions to the Evergreen community
and to librarianship. Your presence will be missed, but we are thrilled to hear
about your new chapter as a youth services librarian for the Newport News
Public Library System! We're glad to know you’ll still be in the open-source
world (Koha and Aspen) and that you plan to stay connected with us in the
Evergreen Community.
I wish both Sarah and Ruth all the best in their new endeavors!
Warmly,
Misty Morse Head of Adult Services

Hello all,
I am excited to announce Sarah Moody as the new Program Director for the
Evergreen Collaborative Development Initiative. For the past few weeks, I've
had the pleasure of working with Sarah through her onboarding process with
ECDI, providing context for the organization, the Evergreen ILS, and the
Evergreen Community. Sarah brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm. I
encourage you to reach out to her at [email protected]
(mailto:[email protected]).
I consider myself very fortunate to have been part of this community for so
long and to have been able to spend the last several years working closely with
so many of you on so many things that bring goodness to librarianship and the
many people and places we serve. It is, however, time for me to take a step
back and move into a new phase. Soon, I'll start as a youth services librarian
for the Newport News Public Library System. It will be both new and old. And,
still open-source (Koha and Aspen). And, I hope to hang around in the Evergreen
Community as well, but on a much more limited basis (for the good of all
involved). If you're interested, you can find me on LinkedIn or just send an
email to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]).
Thanks for everything,
Ruth
