Hi Ruth,

I just want to thank you for all of your work on behalf of the community,
starting with your years at Hagerstown - Jefferson Township Library and
then during your time when you served in your dual roles for Evergreen
Indiana and ECDI.

One of my favorite memories of Ruth is when the former MassLNC project was
seeking funding partners for a development project to provide more
flexibility in defining formats that could be used for search filters and
icons. She single handedly rallied the troops in Indiana to get individual
libraries to contribute small funds of money that ultimately added up to a
lot. I also want to highlight the fact that, as president of the Evergreen
Project Board, Ruth provided the push that was required to complete a
strategic plan that had been stalled for several years. I feel very
fortunate that I returned to the community in time to work even more
closely with Ruth as she finished out her time at ECDI.

Ruth, you truly embrace the values and drive that make an open-source
community thrive. I'm also going to channel Andrea for a minute and leave
you with one last reminder: "You can check out any time you like, but you
can never leave."

Best wishes in your new position, Ruth!

Kathy
