Hi Benjamin, Many of our libraries use the "Bayscan Imaging 2D Drivers License Scanner". If you bulk order from Bayscan their sales rep will work with you to program them to map the fields to Evergreen. I don't know exactly what the programming looks like, but it relies on tab order, so the cursor has to begin in the same spot every time, and every time the patron registration form gets changed all the scanners need to be updated.
It would be nicer if it could be mapped to field names, but I'm not aware of a scanner that will do that yet. Once it's set up, it's definitely faster and reduces a lot of user data entry error, though!
