Hi all, I am pleased to announce that the Evergreen Project is now on LinkedIn. If you have a LinkedIn account, please take a moment to follow the project's LinkedIn page <https://www.linkedin.com/company/evergreenils-project/> to keep up to date with news about the project and the Evergreen software.
The LinkedIn Page already has 15 followers and is just one of three social media accounts from the Evergreen community. We also have a longtime Facebook page <https://www.facebook.com/EvergreenILS/> with 589 followers and a Bluesky <https://bsky.app/profile/evergreenils.bsky.social> account with just 39 followers. With such a large community of libraries, I think we can do better than a combined total of 643 followers spread across three social media platforms. I would love to see those numbers get higher, and, with an in-person conference on the horizon, I think it's a good opportunity to continue a tradition I started for the Worcester conference <https://kmlussier.com/cookies-karaoke-and-the-quest-for-tuits/> by issuing a karaoke challenge. The goal of this karaoke challenge is to expand the audience for our various social media accounts. If we can get our follower count up to a combined total of 1,000 people by the Friday before conference week, I will once again sing karaoke at the upcoming conference in Washington. I will be sure to plan it for a time that doesn't conflict with other conference activities. If we can double our number of social media followers to 1,286 by that Friday, I will even let the community pick the song I sing. We'll be sure to post the recording on social media. I hope some of the previous members of the "Kathy Lussier Experience" consider joining me at the microphone again. I hope to see many of you soon on our social media pages!
