Outlook can collect addresses from incoming mail. I used a similar thing on
my Mutt setup before using the LittleBrother database, and I have 3200
collected addresses. And yes, it really did make my life easier when I had
auto-addressbook filing (mutt could query lbdb)
So the addressbooks can get huge. And since Evolution is a groupware suite,
it really must be able to cope with huge amounts of data. I know Chris
already made it lots faster after he tried my 3000 addresses (I wrote some
very simple perl to make very simple vcard file from lbdb dump)
