Well for example I have friends who seem to change their address fairly often. Its a lot easier trying to find out what address I should use if I can see it. And it just plain feels wrong if the application is trying to hide information I know is there.
The information would be only hidden in the message list, not in the message view.
Anyway, I don't care. A setting would be fine.
