It does not get refreshed whenever you come back to it, only when the program is shutdown and launched. I am going to try the "expunge" feature. > expunge to force a refresh. > > this is so that you can actually use it, and dont click on a messageand > have it vanish instantly as its status goes from unread to read,it then > selects the next unread message, and basically reads the whole mailbox > itself. I believe that the proper policy should be to refresh the contents of the virtual folders whenever: a.Their definitions are modified by the user, b.Whenever the user visits a virtual folder, c.Whenever new messages are retrieved into the local mailbox (inbox). The latest happens for all other virtual folders - UNREAD, as defined in my older message, does not get refreshed after each retrieval. I believe that it has to do with how the program manages the "status-is-not-read" condition in the virtual folder definition. > > On Tue, 2003-03-04 at 22:59, Panos Platon Tsapralis wrote: > > I have setup a virtual folder in Evolution (Rel.1.2.2) as follows: > > > > Criterion = "status - is not - read", > > Execute actions = "if any criteria are met", > > vFolder sources = "with all local folders", > > on source file "file:///home/panos/evolution/local/inbox". > > > > At first it shows all of my unread messages.
