well, this is kind of a standard feature of sendmail.  i mean instead of
[EMAIL PROTECTED]  my mail server understands that
[EMAIL PROTECTED]  corresponds to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

apparently this feature is something that has been there for 20 years.
