Why do you think it doesn't? here on my SuSE 9.1-box

libldap.so.199
: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ; ldd
/opt/gnome/lib/evolution/1.4/components/libevolution-addressbook.so|
grep ldap
libldap.so.199 => /usr/lib/libldap.so.199 (0x413a1000)
Seems to be compiled in.
