Hi all: Exchange 5.5 SP4 Windows 2000 SP4 NT4.0 domain Large Org (110 sites)
We are in the process of designing our rollout of AD, however because of constraints at the Org level (Germany) we cannot migrate our 5.5 environment to Exchange 2000/2003 yet. Our migration design team is asking me to move the existing 5.5 servers on to the new AD domain as they wish to get rid of the old NT4.0 domain. After much googling, I'm can't find much about moving a Exchange 5.5 server to an AD domain without a Exchange 2000/2003 migration involved. I feel by us doing this we are going to be creating double the amount of work for ourselves just to get rid of an NT4.0 domain before we are allowed to migrate to E2K. Anybody have any ideas on what problems we might encounter and/or make for ourselves and the level of effort involved?
