It is Exchange 5.5 and I share your belief that its at the mailbox level
as well. Thanks for the script pointers, we'll have a dig!
I'd looked at mdbvu32.exe, not in much depth.. but it's a consideration.
The contract will be paying the labour bill after all!

Nope. That's a harder one, since I believe that is stored within the
mailbox
itself, rather than in the directory (DS or AD, depending on Exchange
version).
My guess is that you're gonna need something written using CDO to log into
each mailbox and make the settings changes. I'd start at exchangecode.com
and cdolive.com for pointers.
