Exchange 2000 Enterprise = up to 4 storage groups, each containing up to 5 stores, making 20 stores in total across the server. Don't get confused between storage groups and stores (databases).
Just to confuse things more, technically Exchange 2003 can have 5 storage groups, the 5th one being the Recovery Storage Group.
