Doubtful we're going to get the tapes. We're going to be lucky to get the files on CD. I'm really looking at http://www.ontrack.com/powercontrols/ as was mentioned earlier. That might resolve the problem, and give me another tool for the collection.

We might be retained to salvage some data from a single mailbox from an Exchange 2000 server. The problem is that all that's available is the .edb files. No hardware. No AD. (It's a legal case, and the hardware is in custody - we should be getting a CD with the files). It's a small domain (less than 10 users). I do know the name of the forest. I do know the name of the user account. My plan is to get the database up long enough for me to run Exmerge and yank the mailbox into a .pst file. Given that, I realize that I'll need to build a server to install the .edb files onto. If I build an SBS 2000 box, using the same domain name, and add the user account, should I be able to get to the data with relative little pain? I've never had to do DR to this level, so any help would be greatly appreciated. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang =english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
