Repeat after me. At the DOS prompt, type:
Nslookup[ENTER] Set type=MX[ENTER] mcallenisd.net[ENTER] You should see this string as a part of the response: mcallenisd.net MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = adminmaildmz.mcallenisd.net At least that's what I see. What this means is that mail sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is going to be delivered to the host named "adminmaildmz.mcallenisd.net". To get out of Nslookup, type Exit[ENTER] Repeat after me again. At the DOS prompt, type: Telnet adminmaildmz.mcallenisd.net 25[ENTER] What do you see? I see "220 edns1 (IMail 8.05 40727-1) NT-ESMTP Server X1" This looks like a response from an Imail server. When this Imail server receives mail for [EMAIL PROTECTED], it replies If you just changed the MX records in your DNS zone file, it could take up to a couple of days for the change to propagate to the DNS servers around the world. So assuming that you changed MX records correctly, it may be a while before other mail servers can send mail to mcallenisd.net and hit your Exchange server instead of the Imail server. You can use http://www.dnsreport.com to check where your MX records are pointing.
