You might want to switch to a FreeBSD/Postfix relay there are configs that you can download prebuilt that will configure postfix to preform this operation. We have this running on a 900 MHz celeron 128 ram and 20 gig IDE drive. Works great. 20,000 plus emails a day and it can do spam filtering too. :)

In order to have your Imail server accept mail for mcallenisd.net, you would need to define mcallenisd.net on the Imail server as a virtual host. But then you will have a Catch-22 situation because Imail server will believe that mcallenisd.net only belongs to it and will just keep all messages for mcallenisd.net (it will not send them further). Imail is not the best inbound relay system. But if you just want to test whether your Exchange server would accept a message for [EMAIL PROTECTED] if it happened to knock on its door, just use Telnet and connect to the IP address of your Exchange server on port 25 and try submitting a test message. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Pat Karr Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2004 10:57 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Exchange 5.5 I understand all of that. I made these changes of Monday of last week, March 8th. I've done the NSLookups up and down and see what you see. The adminmaildmz server is an Imail relay to my inside servers. I was worried that I didn't have something setup in the exchange server correctly. Is there any other place for me to check to make sure that the exchange server is even catching the mail and rejecting it? I want to make sure that the imail server is relaying properly to the inside server. thanks again for your help.
