The problem with that would be how to tell the SMTP server that it should use that NIC/IP to send email. Otherwise, the SMTP server will simply error out if it uses a different NIC/IP.
Is seems like this is _exactly_ what the SMTP connector is for. Is there any reason why it wouldn't work in this case?
