We use Legato as well. Legato has it's annoyances, but I will have to say if Networker says it's backed up you CAN get it back.
The backup module for 5.5 was somewhat flakey, but the one for 2000 has been rock-solid for us. We do periodic ( about 6 per year) restores to our recovery machine, and have not had one fail.
