I have a few clients with SBS2003 but I have not installed sp1 yet, planning
on brining up my ESX test sessions of there environments to test these next
week. My home system worked as stated though, single machine (DC,GC, all
FSMO roles, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Exchange 2003, SQL, Sharepoint, ISA2004, AV and
RRAS. SP1 went on without a hitch.

Subject: RE: Exchange 2003 SP1 is out

I went to install SP1 on a Small Business Server 2003 and was prompted
for the hotfix. After the hotfix was installed it requested a reboot,
which I did. The issue I have is that an icon for SQL Services Manager
is now in the system tray. Does anyone else on the list use Small
Business Server 2003, which, in case anyone doesn't know is exchange
2003, windows 2003, sharepoint service and a bunch of tremendous
wizards. Has anyone else tried it yet on this type of setup and saw the
same behavior?

Another question is if I can use IMF in a single Exchange server
environment? The only info. I saw was about installing it on the front
end or gateway server in a FE BE environment. Thanks for any info.

Don't discount the new RPC over HTTP publisher tool in ESM. This will
make RPC over HTTP configurations infinitely simpler.

The only extra thing I can see in System Manager is an extra column in
the server list to tell you if RPC over HTTP is enabled. Otherwise I
totally agree with Roger's initial thoughts below.

My initial impressions:

Documentation
-Very light on the included fixes
-Doesn't mention the OS hotfix requirement anywhere

Install
-Inconsistent reboot pattern (2 boxes installed, one required a reboot,
the other didn't) -Doesn't want to install an ESM only upgrade on an XP
SP2RC1 box

Functionality
-No noticable issues with normal test loads at this point

I'm planning on moving it into my pilot deployment in the next few days
to see what happens.
