Where are you trying to view the ADUC exchange tabs? Try it from a server that has ESM installed... If you want to run it from a workstation or other non-exchange computer, open the E2K3 CD, then run exdeploy.hta, and click on the link that says "Install Exchange System Management Tools Only". There are some caveats on installing ESM on an XP workstation, though. It needs to be in the same forest as the exchange org, and running it on the same machine with Outlook installed isn't supported. Best practice is to TS to the server with ESM installed...
