No friggin' way.  Veritas wrote NTBACKUP and even that lobotomized product
purges the log files.

John, make sure you have the latest version of BackupExec, check the logs,
and if the problem silently persists, contact Veritas support.  From what
I've heard of their response time, you might contact them and get in line
first.

I seem to recall Veritas wants you to enable Circular Logging and do a purge
each night, but don't recall for sure.  I do know that's how we do it.

All,

I'm having an issue with BE 8.6.  I'm getting successful backups each night
but the transaction logs aren't being purged after the backup is complete.
I checked the job definition and it has selected:
Full-Database&Logs (Purge committed logs).  But my logs still do not get
purged.  

Has anyone seen this issue?  If so, how did you resolve it?
