I wouldn't manually remove them without knowing which ones have been
completely committed to the database.

Hi John,

Not that I've seen the problem before, but have you tried recreating the
job? Veritas has a habit of getting its knickers in a twist ... and
Vertitas Support has a habit of telling you to upgrade to fix the problem
(which usually introduces a different type of problem!).

Also, have you manually moved the transaction log files? Just a thought ...
Somehow Veritas seems to not be aware that the transaction log files are
supposed to be purged. Are the transaction log files growing and growing?

Sakti

Not true. I have circular logging turned off however BE still purges the
logs after backing up the stores.

I seem to recall Veritas wants you to enable Circular Logging and do a purge
each night, but don't recall for sure. I do know that's how we do it.

Subject: OT: Backup Exec Issue

All,

I'm having an issue with BE 8.6. I'm getting successful backups each night
but the transaction logs aren't being purged after the backup is complete.
I checked the job definition and it has selected:
Full-Database&Logs (Purge committed logs). But my logs still do not get
purged.

Has anyone seen this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Thank you,
