Little update. I am using ADC from ex2ksp3. Deploying Ex2k.
Further information: This ADC agreement is between Exchange 5.5SP4/DC that
resides in a child domain. The only CGs I have are in the parent domain. I
have figured out that these 8 accounts would not replicate because the
'Manager field in their mailboxes has a mailbox from the parent domain. When
I removed this Manager the account and mailbox replicate. I have found if I
promote the Domain Controller in the child domain to a CG this resolves the
issue.

I have 13 remote Exchange 5.5SP4 sites (Satellite links) in their own Win2k
domains. These are single Servers hosting Exchange and DC. I have done a lot
of reading and understand that I can't make all these servers GCs and that
it is necessary to have one GC in each domain that Ex2k is installed in? Not
to mention the added Network traffic.

Can this work in my present configuration. Any help or pointers much
appreciated.

Yes, many many times.
Yes, lost count how many times.
Yes, as stated 8022 and 8070 description below.

I have made some progress. As stated below 8 of 143 mailboxes and
2 DLs would not replicate. What I have discovered is if the mailbox
manager's
field is modified with a mailbox from another Site replication will fail.
If the DL has a member from another site replication will fail.
I don't know why this is happening yet, but I feel a little closer to
solving it.
So that is where my focus is currently. Thanks again for your reply.

PS.. If anyone wants to know how I troubleshot this I'll try to describe it.

Have you verified that the ADC is running? Have you changed an attribute on
a properly connected mailbox and watched to see if it gets reflected on the
other side? Have you looked at the event log for any errors on the server
on which the ADC is running?

They are all in the default Recipient container.

That means that the ADC should try to replicate them. It'll skip ones that
have the ADC-Global-Names attribute filled in. These mailboxes aren't in a
different container, are they?

Thanks for replying! Since my last post I tried to do that, but when viewing
the raw properties of the mailbox the ADC-Global-Names attributes are not
set (blank). You can only see the object ADC-Global-Names if the view is set
to ALL.

I have also reinstalled the ADC (ex2ksp3 flavor), but I same results.

Probably related is 2 DL won't replicate to AD. A new DL will replicate just
fine.

Still digging!

I see what you're trying to do. Start Exchange 5.5 Administrator in Raw
Mode (admin /r). Open the raw properties of each disconnected mailbox
(Shift-Enter) and remove the ADC-Global-Names attribute. The next time the
ADC runs it should create a new disabled user or connect the mailbox to the
corresponding AD user.

I don't think I can do that. I don't have any E2k servers running. If I can
ever figure out this problem maybe I'll get to install one? I am just tying
to get these 8 Ex5.5 mailboxes synchronize with their AD accounts. I have 12
other remote Ex5.5 sites so I want to get this working correctly before
proceeding.

In ESM under the mailbox store list the mailboxes. Right-click one and
select to Reconnect.

Thanks for the reply. I did remove the Exchange attributes and restarted the
ADC.
That didn't work unfortunately. What exactly does reconnecting a mailbox
mean?

Try removing the Exchange attributes for one user and then reconnecting that

mailbox to the AD user. See if that then replicates properly.
