Pfmigrate.wsf is dependent upon the Exchange_PublicFolder WMI class which is only present on Exchange 2003 and above.
This means that you must have at least one Exchange 2003 server hosting your MAPI PF TLH to use it. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bowles, John (OIG/OMP) Sent: Wednesday, November 17, 2004 9:10 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Public Folder Replication Can you use PF Migrate with Exchange 2000? I thought I read something where it said it needed to have at least 1 2003 server in the organization to use this tool? _____________________ John Bowles Exchange Engineer OIG/HHS [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of MS Exchange List Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 2004 4:18 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Public Folder Replication Hello, Export the items from both source and target (to Excel or whatever) and compare. Any differences? For me when I come across this everything is fine. I don't know what causes the difference in count between the two servers. This is in regards to Calendar PFs. In the past I've had problems with non-Calendar PFs not replicating to a new server, and I've found the best thing to do for us is to: -Turn off Virus scanning on both source and target. -use PFmigrate tool to now create the replicas. -Export item count from System Manager on bother source and target and see if just about everything is done. In a small Site, this probably should be done in less than an hour. I know they say 24 hours, but I've found it to be much quicker in a small site if it's going to work at all. -Turn virus scanning back on. When I haven't done the above and got a mix of "some messages came over, some didn't", what I've found to help is: -Turn off Virus scanning on both source and target. -Drop a message in the Source server PF that hasn't fully replicated all its messages. For me this has worked in getting it to kick out all the remaining PF items. -Check item count... -Turn Virus scanning back on. I probably posted more details in the past on this list (check the archives) when I was in the midst of having to deal with it. Of course do all the things the KB articles and FAQs say to do (set the "Replication message priority to urgent",...) Good luck, Brent -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bowles, John (OIG/OMP) Posted At: Tuesday, November 16, 2004 11:35 AM Posted To: MS Exchange List Conversation: Public Folder Replication Subject: RE: Public Folder Replication Sorry, that was meant to be 431. _____________________ John Bowles Exchange Engineer OIG/HHS [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Vander Kooi Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 2004 2:28 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Public Folder Replication And the difference between 403 and 403 is??? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bowles, John (OIG/OMP) Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 2004 1:17 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Public Folder Replication All, I'm stuck with a problem that I just can't seem to figure out. In one of our sites I have 2 servers(Both E2K SP3). I'm trying to replicate the public folders from one server to the other server. And retiring the old server eventually. But my problem is that the contents of the public folders aren't replicating properly. They're not replicating all of the information that is each public folder for instance. I have folder that is a calendar. This calendar on the source server says it has 403 items listed in it. But on the Target server it only shows that there is 403 items listed in it. And it seems I have this type of problem with almost all of my public folders. Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, how did you fix it?
