I'm hoping there are some Listserv users out there who may have some
insight for me but I'm posting here since this may be an Exchange issue
instead. We use Listserv Lite and relay through out Exchange 2003 box.
All was working fine until this week where each time we send an email
all of the recipients receive the email upwards of 30 times. Last night
I watched an email get processed and was wondering if what I saw is what
I should have expected. Listserv received the email and processed the
recipients into individual addresses on the To: line and submitted one
email with 915 recipients to Exchange. Looking at SMTP, 268 queues were
created for what I assume was 268 unique domains. I thought everything
was working since the queues were connecting and sending as I would have
expeced but when I got in this morning there were still 6 queues on
retry due to invalid domains. In each of these queues was one email
with all 915 recipients still listed on the To: line rather than only
the recipients for that domain. Is that normal or should each of the
queues only have had one email with that domain's recipient list or
should it have had one email for each individual recipient? Sorry if
this is basic but we (and especially I) am new to Listserv and Exchange
and am not sure how the two interact to identify where to look for
clues.
