A friend has suggested to me that we move all our server data onto a NAS device with a directly attached backup device. He suggests that the Exchange databases and logs go there too. The NAS will be running Windows Storage Server. Can the Exchange databases/logs be stored on another box that does not have Exchange server installed? If so, are there any things to be aware of? I am told it will be cabled with a Gigabit backplane between all the servers. He also wants to put SQL databases there too ... anyone know if this is possible too?! TIA Ian _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
