Kewl... That's what I figured. I think I'll push to have a Gig-e card put in both the fileserver and the Exchange server. At least that would speed the transfer of data...
Thanks for helping! This whole thing got partially dumped in my lap awhile back when they fired the guy who had been managing the Exchange servers, then the boss quit to go on to "bigger, more exciting" things... and it all got dumped on me... :-) -----Original Message----- From: Geni [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, June 08, 2005 1:07 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Backups You can do the NTbackup-to-file on any server in the enterprise that's able to access the Exchange server. You don't have to actually run it on the Exchange server itself. Obviously, it'll be faster if you don't run it across a WAN link, but you can do that too if you have to. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
