Yeah we have it working now no problems. The issue was originally the Novell guy couldn't get the API Gateway working correctly so there was the issue that all of the address translation was screwed up and our POC for testing did not validate testing very well since this issue never came up. Once the issue was caught we had 60 users that have incorrect address translation.
There doesn't seem to be too big of a gripe about, and as time passes the problem will become less and less. So more than likely we will just let it be, I was just checking if any one knew of any way to get that done solely on the exchange side of things. Thanks for all your feedback and help. Regards, Brian ~~~~~~~~ I don't think it is possible. In regard to conflict.. ?? We used wingra: In our case we consolidated from 4 groupwise postoffices to 1 before migrating to exchange. We set up the groupwise conector between the two systems Redirected all incoming mail to the exchange server and allowed both groupwise and exchange to send emails out Because the groupwise connector was in place , any incoming mail for a groupwise mailbox went through exchaneg and then to groupwisevia the connector All groupwise addresses were [EMAIL PROTECTED] We copied the mailbox to exchange and then hid the groupwise mailbox All exchange addresses were [EMAIL PROTECTED] HTH DeanC -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Cooke, Brian Sent: Tuesday, 27 September 2005 7:39 a.m. To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Address Translation The problem is that in this coexistence period that would cause a conflict with the two systems. So I was hoping to find a way to be able to translate the messages already in the exchange databases. I don't really think this is possible, but I just wanted to check and see if any one had any thoughts. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
