Thanks Ed,
I already tried the name thing, that's what put me on the path of the OL
profile. We had a network change this weekend, and we were looking at
that, but when I created a new Windows profile and setup a test OL
client everything worked great, so much for a network issue! So our
next step was to delete the OL profile and recreate it.

The 2K users don't get any message at all, OL will just hang, then
respond after a short or long pause. It didn't matter if they were just
changing from inbox to contacts, or even when composing a message and
selecting an address, when they went to change the address book their
session would hang.

I have not gotten any complaints from our OL2K3 users about getting the
message about waiting for the server to respond.
Thanks
Jeff

If your users are getting the "Outlook is retrieving data..." dialog,
look at the server that Outlook is trying to contact. It could be that
some profiles are still looking to the old server, likely for public
folders for free-busy data. You might try an easier method before
creating a new profile, instead refreshing it. Remove the last letter
from the user's name, then click Check Names. That's usually worked for
me.

Subject: Strange Issue

We just upgraded our exchange site and now we are having OutLook 2000
fun!
So here is what we did:
1) Removed the first Ex2K3 Server per KB822931
2) Installed SP2 on our FE Server (owa use)
3) Installed SP2 on our BE Server
4) Installed "I Hate Spam"

Our clients are a mix of OL2K/Win2K and OL2K3/WinXP, all of the WinXP
users are working great, some, but not all, of our OL2K users are having
problems where OL2K will hang, stop responding, not open stuff, etc...

Right now our fix is to remove the exchange profile and then simply add
it back in again, presto the problem goes away! Has anyone else seen
this issue?

Background, the 1st server has just been taking up space for the last
few months, we just recently broke the free/busy replication and had it
just running on our new server. We removed Ex2K3 from the server via
the SetupCD and chose "remove".

We are lost, just looking for advice.
Thanks
Jeff
