I've used it since it was called I Hate Spam Server Edition. Good product overall. Picks up more spam then my Barracuda does with the Barracuda set to 6 out of 9 right 9 being the most conservative. I don't have Bayesian turned up on my Barracuda however.
End user has full control over their quarantine, black, and white lists. Users are grouped by policies for very flexible settings. Pricing is good. Big downside to Ninja is that it runs ON the server where the mailboxes are located. This means spam HAS to get to your Exchange servers first, before it can be picked up by the Ninja SMTP Event Sink. In my case, that was up to 80k pieces of e-mail per 24hr period hitting my server that I didn't need hitting it. This is why we ended up getting the Barracuda at the gateway level. We still use Ninja for selected users who get HEAVY amounts of spam. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Holstrom, Don J. It was very easy to install, right over Exchange, no second server needed, we use 2003. If anything it is overzealous, but adjustable in many ways, and learns quickly. Users are very pleased, and that's the most important thing. We are a non-profit, so cost is always a factor, and it is quite reasonable. I want Sunbelt to hurry up and finish the 64-bit version so I can install it on my test server with Exchange 07. None of my test users (including me) wants to be without spam/virus filtration, so the 07 server just sits there, all alone. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dandy, Jim Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 12:32 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Sunbelt Messaging Ninja I'd appreciate hearing any experiences you've had with Messaging Ninja - good or bad.
