I know that is not out yet but the CCR for 2007 really caught my interest. If I read this right it sounds as if we can have passive clusters located off-site as long as the speed is adequate for the log/replication to occur. Here in Cincinnati we already have a DR site located up at Ohio State which houses a backup DC and GC. I'm thinking that we could deploy the passive cluster servers up at Ohio State with internal raid-5 disks and use the CCR for replication so if our datacenter takes a full hit we could then run off passive clusters located off site.
I guess bandwidth is a big issue. Anyone have any similar thoughts or comments?
