I don't know if Edge is easier than Sendmail because it depends on how one measures. I'll give you my score card:
Runs on Unix: Sendmail Precesses mail: Sendmail, Edge Greatest number of configuration options: Sendmail Greatest flexibility: Sendmail Integrates with AD: Sendmail, Edge.. sort of. Integrates with AD Natively: Edge... sort of. Meets the perimeter needs of your organization: Not a clue Made by Microsoft: Edge It's really hard to say what the right solution is for your organization. There are versions of Sendmail that run on Windows if the barrier is *nix. Can Sendmail be a PITA? Absofarkinglutely. But Exchange can make you cry in ways Sendmail can only dream of. So, I'd say sure... take a look at it. But if you need something it can't do you can either wait for "Edge II: Now It's personal" or decide if Sendmail is still the better choice... or if another choice entirely might make more sense. But don't fool yourself, Edge is not Exchange. We're primarily a Windows shop and have 1 guy with Sendmail knowledge.
