I feel just horrible. Been watching this all morning. The number of
innocent lives lost! I don't believe that the rescue workers anticipated
the building collapsing either, so I'm fairly certain a number of the
rescuers will also be fatalities. This is surely a sad day for all of us.

One thing people should realize is the general public in the Middle East
usually hates United States as a whole. After every terrible event that
happens in the US, some crazy group celebrates in the streets. The
civilized people of the middle east mourn with the people of US.
Because of that, I think it was a mistake to broadcast the celebrating
Palestinians on TV. I fear that it will cause immigrants from that region
to suffer here in our backyard. Watch the news for angry "patriots"
attacking Palestinian businesses accross the country.

They had a chance at peace or their land back before?! Watching the evening
news for the last couple decades gives me the impression we have been waging
a war of attrition on them through the proxy of Israel so we can gain a
capitalist foothold in that region. Whether that is a good thing or not
depends on your politics.
It makes me really sad that we have people dieing either way.
