Thank you Chris for your reply, but it seems to me that the error message is originating from my server and not from the ISP's relay server, or is it not?
As far as using DNS for outbound mail, unfortunately this configuration is not working properly when using internet mail over a dial-up connection, as a lot of times, messages cannot be delivered because the recipient domain name host cannot be resolved. I have noticed this behavior on all servers where Exchange IMS uses dial-up to deliver outbound mail.
