Ummm
1.) Take a day off
2.) Try using a server to filter your e-mail prior to your exchange box.

example: Ive used the mcafee websheild SMTP product which comes in the TVD
suite.
While very simple and not sophisticated I have found it is better then
nothing.

for instance Ive got a rule to block e-mails with attachments ending in SCR.
Actually I got a great many of these types of rules.
It also does virus scanning of the incoming mail too. (of course if there's
not virus def...well then content blocking with rule SCR seemed to catch
it).

No it's not a Minesweeper, or what have you. It's simple/basic yes does have
some way's to get around it. BUT it's better then nothing especially if your
already happened to have the TVD suite for mcafee. It give me another layer
to try and protect the system

my 2 cent's

bill

Well I must thank everyone for there nice comments. I would just like to
say I have loved this group for all there help but until you are put in my
situation you should not comment.

I am in charge of 25 servers. 50 users. 2 custome built applications. I
have been working 18 hours a day since the exchange server went down.
Getting everything going. I am in charge of our SQL server. It has been
having troubles. I have put things on a list as to what needs to be fixed
now and doing them. I was hoping no new viruses would come out my luck
this week well I have found out there is a new one. I was hopeing that I
could make a rule on exchange in the mean time while I install our virus
software now very important. I know I can through outlook but that is for
each user.

So thanks for the comments.
