More is OVERKILL more often than not. There are companies that run 486's as PDCs, and they work great. In fact, my last company had 3 domain controllers, two of which were P100 or slower. Overspecing a machine is as harmful as underspecing a machine. Go take a look at the DotBombs and that should be obvious - most spec'ed way too much server for what they needed, and they paid for it.
