Back up the Information Store. There should be a checkbox for that. Do not back up the \exchsrvr\*data directories because they'll be of no use if you need to restore.

I am using the MS Backup Utility with SBS2000/Windows Server 2000. Despite ticking the storage group and the exchsvr folder in the program files folder, the report informs me that the priv1 and pub1.edb and .stm files (and a number of other .log files) are skipped as they are unable to be opened. Consequently there are no entries to be found in the Information store. I am using Administrator priviledges. I am probably doing something stupidly wrong, what is it? Many thanks, Richard S Kahan _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
