Bill, 1. After you have NSlookup up and running, I'm assuming that you did a lookup on westgroup.net? This is the information I got back. Looks good to me. westgroup.net nameserver = ns1.westgroup.net westgroup.net nameserver = ns2.westgroup.net westgroup.net primary name server = ns1.westgroup.net responsible mail addr = nag.westgroup.com serial = 2002021209 refresh = 3600 (1 hour) retry = 900 (15 mins) expire = 604800 (7 days) default TTL = 1 (1 sec) westgroup.net MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = electabuzz.westgroup.com westgroup.net MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = articuno.westgroup.com westgroup.net nameserver = ns1.westgroup.net westgroup.net nameserver = ns2.westgroup.net ns1.westgroup.net internet address = 163.231.229.1 ns2.westgroup.net internet address = 163.231.245.1 electabuzz.westgroup.com internet address = 163.231.238.98 articuno.westgroup.com internet address = 163.231.254.98 2. This means that everything to the right of the @ in the e-mail address is correct. Therefore, take Missy's advice...call up the person on the other end of the e-mail and have them send you an e-mail directly, in order to verify that your user has everything to the left of the @ typed in correctly.

And it turns out the user had made a mistake. But it would be handy to learn how to prove that there is nothing wrong in the system. NS1 implies a name server. So I used NS1.WESTGROUP.NET to replace everything after the @ which was westpub.com. And now I do not receive an error. Might this indicate a DNS problem somewhere? Bill Delete the address in the Contacts list, and type it in correctly. If this doesn't work, do an NSlookup on the domain name and see what happens. If nothing comes back, you're typing it in wrong. If something does come back, then you are typing the user portion in incorrectly.
