What I think you did, is you installed the second server as a Stand-Alone server, and you intend to keep the external DNS server for your domain on it. Of course, you don't want this DNS service to talk to the internal DNS service, since you don't want your private IPs gone public.
There is a problem in that both servers serve the same domain.com scope.
