Maybe they are not as popular as they think!
I have had this problem numerous times.

admin> O.K., sorry!
user> Is something wrong w/ the mail server.
admin> no
user> then why do I not have any E-mail messages from today

should have mail?
user> because I always do.
admin> I see, well I guess today will be a first for you then

But I'm sure you get the idea.

I have not been able to get MS to write a Q article about it.
