I had circular logging enabled even before I stopped backing up. And I was using NTBackup when I was backing up. I stopped backups because the small tape drive was slow, time consuming, and high-maintenance.
For any business to enable circular logging is asking for trouble if they need to enact a DR routine... For home use, worst case (if I was actually backing up) is that you lose a days mail... A risk I am more than willing to take.
