Check out the "JET Database Engine" section in this document: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;271987. Ignore that it is talking about 5.5, same concepts apply to E2K or E2K3 in this case. Specifically, the phrase "dynamic buffer allocation" is what will help explain how the store does what it does.

When I look in Task Manager I see that the store.exe process has a size of about 700 MB. When I reboot my server and I look again to the store.exe process it only has a value of 25 MB. Is there a way to do this manually in stead of rebooting? Ok, I could do this probably by restarting the services, but is it also possible to act without stopping the services. (And maybe an extra: how come?) Many thaks Kurt _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang =english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
