Sometimes things feel like they are just going to explode. Those are the
times you just have to wrap your hands around it and get it done.
Other times you have to outsource the project. You hope the consultant
is well versed in this type of work and knows how to keep from giving
too much lip service and just can get the job done before the whole
thing blows up in their face.

I would imagine routing through foreign systems is not bad.  You just
need to get past the firewall or ensure that the proper ports allow you
to pass through or accept your connection.  Also, you need to ensure
that proper virus-protection mechanisms are loaded.  If you have to find
a backdoor into the system, that could get messy.  It would best be
