I will have to take the NTMail server off line transfer all the mail messages to the exchange server using a pop connector (unfortunately this is a user by user process) and then amend the Exchange server name and IP address to mirror the old NTMail server settings..
At the moment this is still at the testing stage. I will post a message with the final results once the migration is complete. I found the pop connector at http://www.exchange-pop3-connector.com Regards, Mark Shelton Network Engineer Hi-Grade Computers plc -----Original Message----- From: Lefkovics, William [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 25 October 2001 09:35 To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Migration to E2K from NTMail Out of curiosity, and for the archives, are you going to share what you have found to assist? You have probably already created the accounts for NT/2K so that's half the battle. If the users already use Outlook, then they are half way there. You will have to make some changes on the user's profiles such as delivery to their Exchange mailbox instead of the personal folder they have been using. the way users are though, I would let them keep their personal folders for referencing old mail and start them fresh with new exchange mailboxes. Just my experience and opinion. Hope it helps you.
